PHP 5.6

Will PHP 5.6 be discontinued?

No. In our web hosting packages you can still choose PHP versions from PHP 5.6 to PHP 8.5. The article Change PHP version in Plesk explains how to change the PHP version of your website.

Please note: PHP 5.6 has not received any updates worldwide since 31 December 2018, so bugs and security vulnerabilities are no longer fixed by the developers. You can see which PHP versions are still officially supported on php.net.

For security reasons too, we recommend that all customers switch their website software to a current PHP version as soon as possible. Please note that our support can only offer limited assistance for outdated PHP versions.

If you need help updating your website, please contact us. We will advise and support you in updating your software.
