If you no longer know the password for your old provider, you can back up your emails locally and transfer them to your new mailbox.

Step 1: Create a backup of your emails in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook

  2. Click on FileOpen & ExportImport/Export

  3. Select “Export to a file”Outlook Data File (.pst)

  4. Select the desired folders (e.g. Inbox, Sent Items)
    Note: In some cases, folders need to be exported individually, so multiple exports may be necessary.

  5. Save the file, for example on your desktop as:
    Desktop\backup_old_account.pst

Step 2: Set up the new email account

  1. Go to Add Account

  2. Enter the login credentials of your Firestorm email account (e.g. IMAP with SSL)

  3. Test the connection and complete the setup

Step 3: Import emails into the new mailbox

  1. Click again on FileOpen & ExportImport/Export

  2. Select “Import from another file”Outlook Data File (.pst)

  3. Select the saved file (backup_old_account.pst)

  4. Choose your new email account as the destination

  5. Start the import

Your old emails will now appear in the new mailbox and start syncing.
