Move pages into folders

Would you like to move an existing page into a «folder» or change the order of your pages? The new SiteDesigner no longer has actual folders. The structure is created with subpages: you place one page under another page. You do this in the page management.

Place a page under another page

  1. In the SiteDesigner, open the Pages section on the left.
  2. Next to the page you want, click the move icon with the three horizontal lines and hold down the mouse button.
  3. Drag the page below the page it should be placed under.
  4. Keep dragging it to the right until an orange arrow indicates the subordination.
  5. Release the mouse button. The page is now shown indented as a subpage.

Reorder pages

Drag the page up or down by its move icon. Pay attention to the indentation when you release it: it determines whether the page stays on the same level or is placed under another page.

Check the change in the menu

If you use an automatic menu, the navigation takes over the page structure by itself. With a custom menu, adjust the order and subordination directly in the menu element.

Then check the result in the preview.

Note: These instructions apply to the new SiteDesigner. The older articles with the «Pages & Folders» menu describe the previous version.
