Sophos serial number shows “Default string”

You cannot register your Sophos because ‘Default String’ is shown as the serial number? To set the serial number, proceed as follows:

1. Reinstall the Sophos
2. Start the installation. In the 2nd window, the serial number is shown as ‘Default String’.
3. Now open the code editor in Chrome. Search for the input field and remove ‘readonly’.
4. Now enter the serial number found on the bottom of the housing into the field.
