OfficeMail Account Settings

Password, spam filter and forwarding are now set up directly in webmail, under account settings, in «Accounts». You no longer need a separate sign-in to your hosting control panel for this.

Opening the account settings

  • Sign in to OfficeMail (see Using OfficeMail)
  • Click «Email settings» at the bottom left
  • In the left column, under «Accounts», click your email address. The sections Password, Spam filter and Forwarding appear underneath, among others

Changing your password

Enter your current password and the new password twice, then click «Change password». At least 8 characters. The new password applies immediately to webmail, IMAP, SMTP and all devices, you are then signed out and sign in again with the new password.

Spam filter

Turn the spam filter on or off and set the threshold (1 to 20, default 7, a lower value catches more spam but also produces more false positives). Under «What happens with spam» you choose whether spam is marked in the subject, moved to the Junk folder or deleted right away. In the blocklist and the allowlist you enter fixed addresses or patterns, one per line, for example *@musterdomain.ch.

Forwarding

Turn on «Forward incoming mail» and enter one or more target addresses, one address per line. A copy of every message also stays in your mailbox.

Forwarding in OfficeMail with several addresses

This setting is the same one as in your hosting control panel (Plesk) under Mail, both paths lead to the same result. You can therefore still set up forwarding there as well, but you no longer have to.
