PHP.ini configuration

How do I configure the PHP.ini file?

You do not need to create your own php.ini for this. You set the PHP configuration per domain directly in the hosting management (Plesk): under “Websites & Domains”, open the domain, click “PHP Settings” in the developer tools group next to “PHP” and set the values you need. The change takes effect within a minute.

You can adjust display_errors, log_errors, error_reporting, memory_limit, post_max_size, upload_max_filesize, max_execution_time, max_input_time, max_input_vars and date.timezone. Security-related values such as disable_functions, open_basedir, session.save_path and allow_url_include are fixed.

You find the step-by-step guide with screenshots in the article Adjust PHP settings per domain.

You change the PHP version in Plesk directly at the domain, see Change PHP version in Plesk. For Windows hosting, support adjusts the PHP values for you.
