Transfer Wordpress Website

This guide explains how to transfer a Wordpress website from another host or provider to our servers. We use the plugin All-in-One WP Migration. The free version limits the size of the file that can be imported. You can also use other plugins such as WordPress Backup and Migrate Plugin – Backup Guard. The procedure is very similar.

It is even easier with our WordPress Import: it lets you move your existing WordPress website to FireStorm directly in the Plesk panel, without an export file.

1. Install Plugin

Install the Wordpress Plugin All-in-One WP Migration during your existing installation. Open plugins and install them.

2. Export Wordpress

Now click All-in-One WP Migration in the left menu and then Export. Select as export file.

3. Download file

Now download the created file and save it on your computer. Click on the green download button.

4. Install Wordpress

Now install WordPress on our server. The article Installing WordPress explains how. Wait until the installation is complete.

5. Install Plugin

Install the Wordpress Plugin All-in-One WP Migration with your new installation. Open plugins and install them.

6. Import web page

Open the plugin All-in-One WP Migration in the menu on the left side and then click on Import. Press and drag the previously downloaded file to the middle area and follow the wizard. Your migration is then complete.
