Activate Whois Privacy

Whois Privacy protects the personal data of the customer in the WHOIS Register. The sensitive address data of the customer is then no longer displayed in the Whois Register.

What does Whois Privacy cost?

For the domain extensions .ch, .li, .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .eu and .de, Whois Privacy is already included in the domain price. You do not need to buy anything.

For other extensions, or if your address data should not be passed on to the registry either, the paid ID Protection package is available. It includes Whois Privacy and Domain Privacy. You can find the current price on our domain page. This is how to activate it:

1. Log in to the web administration at admin.firestorm.ch.
2. Open the menu Domain and then Domain Overview
3. Now click next to the domain on the tool and then on WHOIS Privacy
4. Now you can activate the Whois Privacy Service by clicking on Buy now
