Wordpress DSGVO Tools (GDPR) hacked

All Wordpress websites hacked with WP DSGVO Tools (GDPR) plugin from LegalWeb

The provider Legalweb with its popular Wordpress tool DSGVO Tools (GPDR) has been hacked. All Wordpress websites that use this plugin are redirected to malware websites. Please act immediately and deactivate the plugin!

You can find instructions on how to proceed here:

1. Log in to Wordpress and open the Plugins menu.
2. Disable and uninstall the plugin WP DSGVO Tools (GDPR)
3. Remove the folder /wp-content/plugins/shapepress-dsgvo/ (if available).
4. Now check under Settings => General => Wordpress URL and Site Address URL whether the correct URL address is stored.
5. Empty the cache of plugins like WP-Rocket => Empty Cache => All Languages
6. Please change all your Wordpress passwords immediately.

Your website is now cleaned. Now clear your browser cache and reopen your page (not logged into Wordpress!). The redirect is now deactivated.

From now on, simply use another DSGVO tool for your website.
