Starting today, you will find the new Backup Manager in your client area. It lets you restore an earlier state of your website from your web hosting package yourself, without going through support and without any waiting.

What you can do with it

We back up your data every night. In the Backup Manager you pick the day you want from a calendar view, then choose what should be restored:

• your website with all files and images
• your databases
• individual mailboxes

You can select several items at once, for example your website and its database together. On most websites the two belong together anyway.

Up to 60 days back

We keep up to 60 daily backups. So you are not limited to yesterday’s state, you can also go back to a point several weeks ago.

Included in every hosting plan

The Backup Manager is part of your hosting plan. There are no extra costs, and nothing needs to be activated for you.

Where to find it

Log in to your client area, open your hosting plan and select Restore under the quick access menu. Every restore is logged, and you get an email as soon as it has finished.

One point that matters to us

Restoring overwrites today’s state. Any changes made since the selected date will be lost. The Backup Manager makes this clear before it starts and asks you to confirm.
